Auto Expo 2018: Honda to showcase 11 new models, a Concept scooter and racing bike

Honda will debut as many as 11 models, which is its highest ever at the Auto Expo, the company said in a statement today. The Japanese company will also showcase its last bike for the current fiscal year. So far in FY18, it had launched three new models–two scooters, the Cliq and Grazia and a bike, the Africa Twin.

“The other new launches include six from the HMSI’ domestic stable and four international fun bikes,” HMSI said.

The company will also display all the models of its flagship Activa scooter in the past 17 years, which has become the largest selling two-wheeler in the world.

Honda is also going to showcase its much appreciated electric vehicle (EV) concept

Honda will be showcasing the PCX Electric Concept that was first shown at the Tokyo Motor Show. The Honda PCX is a premium offering that will be go on sale in Japan and the Asian markets later this year. The motor show will also witness unveiling of six updated products from the HMSI’s existing lineup.

Other attractions will include Marc Marquez’s 2017 MotoGP winning bike RC213V and the 2017 Honda CBR 250R One Make Championship bike. Moreover, there will be the national grand finale winner model of NAVI Customania along with the 24 best customized Navi’s from across India.

For kids, there will be road safety contests and practical learning session on the special CRF 50 children bike.

The most important highlight will be the all-new Honda motorcycle. This will be the fourth offering after the CLIQ, Africa Twin and Grazia that was promised for 2017-18. While there are no other official details, we hope it is the production version of the Honda CX-02 concept that was showcased in 2016. The Honda CX-02 concept featured inverted forks and radially mounted brake callipers along with an aluminium swing arm.
